Short Description (Role Purpose)

The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for setting, adapting and implementing brand strategy in Saudi Arabia market.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

- Responsible for the total primary sales (purchases) budget, forecast and performance.
- Negotiate and finalize annual business plans with all principals. Submit plan by category.
- Negotiate and align with all principals the annual trade marketing budget, maximize the investment and ensure enough investment is supporting in-market sales plans.
- Maximize Gross Margin either by negotiating better margins with the principals or by improving the product mix, through proper trade marketing investment's allocation.
- Continuously monitored operation to ensure manpower deployment is matching business requirements and commitments with principals.
- Align trade-marketing activities with the sales cycles to ensure investment is properly supporting sales.
- Establish a direct and personal relationship with top 30 wholesalers.
- Set the pricing strategy after alignment with each and every principals. Revise prices as per the business needs.
- Review retail audits data and prepare action plans to reverse negative trends. Present retail audit trends to the sale force. Show own performance vs. competitors.
- Support Sales Director by cross matching GTC database with Nielsen census report.
- Align with suppliers on various competitive activities; communicate countermeasure action with Sales Director.
- Set the Incentive scheme parameters aiming at achieving specific KPIs for each principal.
- Organize monthly meeting cycles covering Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Abha. Spend 50% of the time in field visits. 
- Follow up on debit notes pertaining to spending for each and every principal in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the building of the demand planning by category.
- Set dormant stock liquidation guidelines and communicate it to the Sales Director.
- Follow up on shipments with the Supply Chain department, optimize stock rotation and make sure to achieve DIOs target. 
- Ensure enough stock by brand for each and every branch.
- Maintain excellent relationship with all principals. Schedule visits on quarterly basis.
- Ensure all principals are having a single point of contact with GTC
- Communicate monthly reporting to all principals (external). 
- Prepare action plan with time frame.
- Set pipe filling target, volumes, channels' strategies, listing objectives and implementation guidelines.

 

Education & Certifications

BA Business or Marketing

Required Years of Experience

  • Minimum 4-5 years sales Management experience.
  • Preferably 2-3 years Trade Marketing Management experience.
